classes for beginners and intermediates.



Teachers

Sandra Leija

Sandra started studying flamenco with Sylvianna in Austin,
Texas in 1996.  From 1999 to 2003, she was a regular advanced
flamenco student with Genevieve Guinn in Austin, Texas.
Throughout her flamenco formation she has had workshops and
classes with renowned flamenco dancers such as, Omayra
Amaya, Carlos Rodriguez, Juana Amaya, Belen Maya, Andres
Marin and Jose Greco II, among others.



Christian Fernandez

Christian is an experienced musician.  He comes from a
flamenco gypsy family and knows all the palos (different types of
songs and rhythms) of flamenco by heart.  He will be teaching
flamenco guitar and compas.  Compas  class will focus on
rhythms for different palos (songs), as well as palmas (hand
clapping), contra tiempo (counter time), llamadas and salidas
(start & exit to a song).  This class is essential for anyone who
would like to learn the art of flamenco (dance or music).
